!!

SO this last two weeks have been very eventful. Elycia had a UTI went through all kinds of craziness to figure that out. But thankfully we got it taken care of . She took antibiotics and is now over it. The day after she was off antibiotics the poor baby got allergies. We took her to the doctor for her nine month well health check. She is growing wonderfully. She is 21 lbs and 28 inches long. The doctor gave her Claritin for her allergies. She doesnt have to go back to the doctor until she is one!! unless she happens to get sick or something. Which we all hope that doesnt happen. She now has four teeth. she is still crawling every where and still getting into everything!!!

Our growing Monkey!!

Man, when they say that babies really grow fast, they are not kidding!! Just after our last post, she started to pull herself up on to furniture and and walk along it!! Last night she said "nanana". This morning we could see the white of her top teeth just through the gums!! So guess what we will be having in a few days if not less? You said it, her two top teeth!!

On another note, Ben and I have agreed that we would be okay with just having one baby. We both want to be able to provide for her what our parents were not able to provide for us. Like if she wants to go to college or wants help on getting a certain car that she likes we want to be able to do it for her. But we may later down the road decide on having another baby. Only time can tell.

dadadadadada

So in the last week Elycia has done alot!! Last Sunday July 5, she started saying "dadadadadada" on a regular basis. She said "dadada" for the first and only time on May 9, the day before Mother's Day. Since then she as sat up from a sitting postion and actually start to crawl. And we have also caught her trying to pull her self up. So im sure its only a matter of time before she is standing and being brave enough to walk alone!! Our baby is just growing up to fast!!!!

Another holiday has passed....

So another holiday has come and passed. Unfortunately it rained so Elycia did not get to enjoy the pleasures of seeing all of the pretty lights and boom booms for the first time. So since it is a nice and sunny day to day we will be barbecuing and doing sparklers for her. :) She is getting so big and happy. We are very proud of our little girl. Ben and I will be celebrating a late Fourth of July at my parents house. And as far as Elycia's face goes, it looks really good. The medicine has done wonders!! Oh my goodness she practically looks like a new baby! She went to the dermatologist and he said that she looks good and now only has to have her cream as needed instead of twice a day!! She does not have to go back unless she has another outbreak. I am so very proud of her face. We hope every one had a fun and safe holiday.

Elycia's Cream...

So for those who didn't know already, Elycia has eczema. We took her to a dermatologist when she was six months old. The dermatologist prescribed her a new ointment that is non steroid for her face and suggested I try Cerave cleanser and moisturizer for her wash and lotion. So we bought the Cerave and it works great!!! As far as the Protopic, which was her script, we are just NOW getting due to her insurance. They didn't want cover it. With out her insurance it would cost us over $400.00!! So after almost two months of arguing with the pharmacy to do their jobs we finally got the insurance company to cover it. With the exception of only filling a third of the script. But at least she has got it now. And as far as we can tell it is doing its job. Elycia goes back to the dermatologist this coming Thursday. Hopefully it will be good news. I think now we have it under control.
